Peter Bainbridge

Peter Bainbridge is a self taught artist, beginning his painting as a hobby in 1995, after being a full-time gardener. With his interest in British wildlife and Horse racing, these were obvious subjects for him to paint. Oil is the choice of medium which certainly brings extra colour and vibrancy. His animal original painting is evolving into stunning still life art and canine art. Certainly evident in the Peter Bainbridge Originals.

As the quality and interest in his paintings improved, he gave up landscaping to paint full time. Furthermore his paintings have sold at Sothebys and Christies wildlife auctions. Exhibited at a prestigious
Wildlife art exhibition in the Netherlands as well as with The David
Shepherd Foundation in the Mall Gallery in London.

In 2004 he won the Birdwatch Magazine, Bird Artist Of The Year Competition. Connections with a local race horse trainer, he found himself painting more racing images, completing work for several owners, trainers and jockeys. Finally in 2017 he joined The Society Of Equestrian
Artists, being promoted to Associate member a year later.

He is now looking to promote his original Still Life and Dog Art with The Diane Hutt Gallery.
