Jo Quigley
Jo Quigley British artist was born in 1969, trained at Winchester School of Art and Kingston University, prior to graduating in 1996 with an MA in Fine Art. Having taught art for over a decade now concentrates on painting full time. Jo Quigley is producing limited edition art prints from her artist originals. Whilst continuing to demonstrate her skills to art societies and painting groups across the South East. Jo also uses her experience as a tutor to write about painting, and several articles published in The Artist magazine.
Due to Jo having a particular passion for painting the city and its people. Therefore taking frequent trips to London where she is able to observe and photograph people going about their daily lives. Influenced by artists such as Pissarro, Hopper and Lowry, Jo’s work encourages the viewer to take a second look and get involved in the many characters and the stories they tell. Jo’s images are bright and contemporary and whilst she works in a variety of media she particularly enjoys acrylic for its speed and flexibility.
