Gary McNamara

Gary McNamara a portrait artist, born in Liverpool in 1965. Creating striking female portraiture in his original art by using a vivid palette of colour and painting style.  He has been a successful artist and illustrator for the past 30 years. From the age of 23, Gary has worked freelance.  A commercial illustrator for many of the biggest publishing houses in the world, focusing mostly on extremely well-known children’s characters.

In more recent years Gary has been able to concentrate more on his figurative painting.  Whilst investigating and exploring various mediums to create depth and movement in his work. His latest acrylic and mixed media works demonstrate his idea to bring the beauty of nature together with more figurative work.
