Becky Mair
Becky Mair contemporary artist offers limited edition prints of equestrian and animal art.
Artist born in Chatham, Kent. At the age of ten her father moved aborad and started to work in the Middle East and Africa. During that time she spent the next 15 years commuting between England and where her parents were living. In 1985 having completed a foundation course at Canterbury College of art, subsequently moved to live and work in London. After that Becky completed a BA Honours Degree at UCA Canterbury in 2004.
Winning Best Selling Published Artist at the Art & Framing Industry Awards in 2013. Furthermore Becky has developed her own immediate response to a technique by the abstract artist Jackson Pollock, whilst studying his process at University. As a result works mainly in acrylic paint, ink or domestic emulsion painting directly from the tube or paint pot.
