Charlotte Atkinson prints are well known for the flowing figurative art with its dreamlike qualities. Many of Charlotte’s originals are finished with gold reflecting in the light. Born in the town of Plymouth in 1973. Surrounded by water from a young age has always been fascinated by the sea. Certainly the inspiration of the sea is clearly visible in a semi abstract way within many of her works. She studied to gain a qualification in illustration through the Hereford College of Art and at the University of Derby.

After her studies, Charlotte moved to Scotland partly due to her love of coastal regions. She was invited to become the artist in residence at a rural centre for arts. Charlotte Atkinson’s works mainly in mixed media. Exploring the energy of colour and its emotional effects through combining pastels, oils and inks. Charlotte Atkinson was awarded with the title of ‘Artist Exhibition Winner’ in 2000 by the Fine Arts Trade Guild.
